Yellow Delicious Apple, also called Golden Delicious, is among the top 15 most famous cultivated variety in the US. It yields a large, yellow fruit with a mouth-watering, sweet taste. It is best eaten raw, and can be used to make applesauce, pies and jam. If refrigerated, it can last up to 3-6 months. Apples are rich in Vitamins A and C, fiber and antioxidants. It also has white to pinkish blossoms that appear midseason. It can grow up to 25 feet tall and spreads up to 25 feet wide at maturity. It is grown best in moist and well-drained soils. For better sun and air accumulation for its canopy, and branch build-up, it is recommended to trim the apple tree. It loves full sun and needs a minimum of 6 hours of sunlight. Make sure to water heavily upon planting. It needs to be watered once every week during hot seasons and only once a month during colder seasons during its first year.
