--

Pecan Tree is the biggest among the walnut and hickory trees. Its produces a lavish, buttery-flavored nut that can be eaten raw or added as an ingredient in cooking different dishes. It is also well-loved by raccoons, squirrels, wild turkey and other birds. Its heavy and solid wood can also be used to craft furniture and for flooring. It usually grows up to 65 to 130 feet high and 40 to 75 feet wide. It loves full sun and must spend at least 6 hours under the sun. For best results, make sure to choose an acidic, moist and well-drained soil. Pecans have a lifespan of more than 300 years. But you need to wait up to 6 to 10 years before it bears fruit. Every year, a Pecan Tree can produce at maximum of 150 pound of nuts. To ensure a good production of its nuts, it needs to be watered once biweekly during dry weather.
