Shadblow Serviceberry is a dazzling, compact multistemmed small tree or shrub that grows up to 20 feet high. It produces eye-popping, white blossoms with five petals during the Spring. It loves full sun or partly shade. It grows best in acidic, moist and well-drained soil. This beautiful tree doesn't need to be pruned or fertilized. It also has a high tolerance to pests. It has a tooth-like foliage that are dark green during Summer and changes from gold and yellow to red and orange during Fall. It bears sweet green berries that changes its color to red, then ultimately turns into purple black when it is ripe. Its fruit is also known as Juneberries. They look and taste like blueberries and are eaten by many animals, birds, and also people! You must heavily water it as often as possible during the first year. On its second year, you only need to water it during the dry season.
