Yoshino Flowering Cherry
A star in the world of flowering trees - the Yoshino offers dazzling white-pink blooms March through April!
The Yoshino Cherry Tree is the perfect focal tree for your front yard! It is known for its glorious display of blooms in early spring. The cherry tree blossoms are delicate, white-pink, and have a lovely subtle fragrance. Often, the blooms precede the wonderfully dark foliage that comes in spring. The Yoshino’s beautifully symmetrical, rounded branching structure gives it a stunning shapely appearance. The mature height of this tree is about 30 feet. Yoshino is mostly thought of as an ornamental but because it grows so quickly. It works very well near a patio or deck for a little added shade, or even to act as a screening tree. These trees prefer full sun and moist well drained soil. They are adaptable to many soil types but do require good drainage. You want to water your tree deeply twice a week for 2-3 months while they are establishing. After that, you only need to water during dry periods.
