A grand canopy with an extraordinary peeling bark that outshines other trees in your landscape!

--

River Birch Tree is a stunning deciduous tree that is prominently seen in wet areas, such as stream and river banks. However, it can grow practically anywhere and has high resistance to heat. One of its cultivated variety was awarded by the Society of Municipal Arborists (SMA) as the Urban Tree of the Year in 2002. It has a grand canopy with an extraordinary peeling bark that outshines other trees in your landscape. It is also popular for being a low maintance tree and its adaptability to relatively all growing zones throughout the US. During its early years, its pink- and lightbrown-colored barks curl and strip away to emerge a light creamy tan to red brown bark underneath. This beautiful tree usually grows up to 70 feet high with a spread of 60 feet. A young River Birch looks like a pyramid because of its multitrunk characteristic and would later appear like an asymmetrical crown as it ages.
