A strikingly beautiful and enormous canopy that will comfort you through the Winter!

--

American Sycamore is famous for its magnificent canopy that is perfect for huge landscapes. This strikingly beautiful deciduous tree can reach up to 100 feet, the tallest among all the deciduous trees found in Eastern United States. It is also called as the American planetree, Eastern Sycamore, buttonball tree and buttonwood. During the Fall, its maple-shaped foliage undergoes color change, from medium or dark green to yellowish brown. In Spring time, its small, indistinct flowers blooms in ringed trusses. Sycamore is known to be monoecious since it yields both male and female flowers. After the female flowers bloom, its orb-shaped, hairy fruits follow and last until Winter. The most astonishing attribute of Sycamore is its camouflaged-pattern bark with a gray-brown outer layer and light gray or white wood underneath. It loves full sun and can comfortably grow in well-drained, humusy and constantly moist soild.
